To fashion street style cognoscenti, the name Scott Schuman certainly rings a bell. He is the American photographer who created the blog “ The Satorialist”. The blog remains one of the most read in the fashion world. Also, he was picked by Time magazine that the most influential street style photographer. Whether famous or not, he's the one who was able to capture experience of people life.
The Satorialist with the idea of creating two-way dialogue about the world of fashion and the relationship to his daily life. In his fashion photography, it's always about creating the picture and the person he saw. He doesn't judge people based on style and appreciate and only care what's consistent and really stands out in the shots. Back in 2009, his first volume of street photography, The Satorialist, an anthology of his images published by Penguin. The book been translated into different languages from English to Korean. It’s sold out in less than three months over 100,000 copies and and it was received much praise.



Beside of his famous blog- The Satorialist, Schuman’s work has been also featured in other notably magazines such as GQ, Vogue Italia, Vogue Paris, and Interview. His photography skill got much praise from everywhere that help him got all the commissioned Ad campaigns such as Nespresso, DKNY jeans, Gant, OVS, Crate & Barrel. On the other hand, the Burberry, meanwhile, explored Schuman to shoot the advertising project “ Art of the Trench” project.

“My personal style has evolved in the sense that I’ve learned to build my wardrobe around the lifestyle that I live and that’s come from being around so many different types of stylish people who all seem to follow the same rule.” Scott said.
In fashion industry, Schuman has leaned a few things from his tears of shooting streets fashion. Many fashionistas are truly admire him as both an icon and a revolutionary in the fashion industry. He changed the way that how we see the street fashion. There is no brand names, no vested interests, just pure design, aesthetic and presentation in his style. Honestly, fashion should be more defined as style rather than the runway concepts and high-end, and to some, high-nose culture that makes up fashion society. The runway fashion is like the museum, just because you can't afford it doesn't mean you don't go for the inspiration.
